Stuff

I haven't posted for a while, so I thought I'd update. First, I have a new car. This is the rental I had while car shopping, a 2009 Chevy Equinox.

Forte quite enjoyed riding in the hatch-back area. I left a large Kong back there for him to play with. He had plenty of space to turn around, play with the Kong, plus three windows to glimpse out.

Searching for a car is a chore when you are on a tight budget, have little time, and weren't anticipating to do so. I really wasn't being picky, my concern was something safe and reliable and that I could afford. At one point, I had gone to a Hyundai Dealer in Sandy with my dad. The sales agent was different from the one dad had spoke with over the phone, but he said he knew of my budget situation and had a car in mind. Yeah, he showed me a $16,000 car. A little outside my $6-8,000 budget he said he knew of. My parents had offered me their 2003 Toyota Camry if I didn't find anything. After three weeks, I took them up on it. It actually has fit all the needs I have for a vehicle. Forte doesn't have a hatch-back area to right in, but he has room on the floor that he can right there now instead of the seat.

On February 21st, there was a state meeting with all of the puppy raising clubs in Utah. Forte's brother, Fullerton, was there. I haven't seen him since he was flown in with Forte. Can you tell who is who in the picture?

My nephews had come to visit for two weeks. They have grown up a lot. I'm glad my brother was able to see his boys. We had to work on some issues of not hitting puppies, but otherwise they were a joy to have around. I didn't spend much time with them due to work. They loved Forte to pieces, Pecos had been a little hyper for them.

We also had family photos taken while they were here. I'm not too fond of mine (reminder of what weight I need to lose), but the ones with their dad were cute.

I had house sat for my sister in February. Clearfield had something going on that would attract any snow in the area. It was a little odd having my car buried in snow and then driving to work in West Valley where there was nothing. The commute had not been as bad as I thought it would be on my days I just worked. But on the days I had school after work, I was up before 4:30 to get ready. The early mornings were kicking my butt, especially when I wouldn't get home until 7:30 or later at night. Ugh! Forte loved the snow and having a yard to run around in. I enjoyed not having to clean up his piles. He got his butt kicked by Iola daily in the snow.

That's enough for now.

I can't believe how big Forte is, it's just crazy. :D Make my Fuller look like a midget. Anyway, glad you got your car situation all figured out. Fullerton is a little jealous of the hatchback, he got to ride in one once and he loved it, he keeps trying to convince me I need a new car. But sorry little man, just not in the cards at the present moment. Too bad. . . Fullerton and Forte look alike in the running pictures. We should get them together for a play date or something, I think they would enjoy that. :D Anywho, just glad everything is working itself out.
